Toronto v Kansas Series finale.
Jays in danger of losing this home stand 5-4 which would be very poor. Back to Halladay but even Halladay needs run support and if this team, cannot get back to hitting the way they did earlier, this could be one of those horrible days. Kansas now on a high beating Jays easily yesterday and breaking 0-8 loss streak.
Pressure is on the Jays not on Kansas today. No one giving them a chance to beat Halladay and that is where it always dangerous.
The other factor today will be how Halladay reacts to that 133 pitch outing on Tuesday, even Halladay is human.
Yesterday Richmond took the flak but it was more the hitters who failed abysmally and none worse than the top six against a AAA pitcher.
On paper this looks good for Jays but unfortunately the games have to be played.
Cito’s lineup without Rolen again and Inglett in left. I guess Inglett is in there to make Vernon’s average look good??
But Bautista at third hurt the Jays yesterday on at least two plays that Rolen would have had.
