Game two preview

Preview. Game two. Toronto v Texas.

Doug Mathis pitching tonight against Tallet. Mathis the type of pitcher that gives Jays trouble. Out of the minors.
One inning this season last week against Boston.
Last season 2008 one win but against Tampa in eight appearances and only one over six innings. Went six against Cleveland one run but didn’t get decision. 14 walks to 9 strikeouts in 22.1 innings and 37 hits last year.

Jays hitters had a good night last night and more important came through in the ninth when needed. Top of the lineup need to get it going tonight to give Tallet some breathing room and Vernon needs to get it going, please, please, it is agony watching him each at bat. I guess his glove makes up for it with that final out of last night saving at least one run.

News from AAA-Vegas Buck Coats who so impressed last year in spring is tearing it up 17 stolen bases. Caught three times. 18 doubles .329 average.
On the other side poor Jason Lane who should have made the team in April with his Spring is languishing in Vegas. Only two hr in 52 games.
