The good: Jays comeback from 5-0 down. Rios 4 !!! hits… Cito may be on to something. More impressive the rest of the team can only get two between them

The bad: How about Jays 0-8 with runners in scoring position today?

Top 1st: Coghlan doubles to centre. Gload grounds to Hill throw to Overbay, Coghlan to third. Ramirez doubles to centre, Coghlan scores, and Marlins take the lead in the first.1-0 Marlins, we have seen this scenario before. Cantu fly ball to Wells. Hermida infield single to third, Ramirez moves to third. Uggla strikes out.
Bottom 1st: Scutaro walks. Hill fly ball to left field Coghlan. Wells pops up to second base Uggla. One again Rios and Wells cannot move the guy up sixty feet. How much longer Ciito do we have to watch this? Lind grounds to short Ramirez throw to first base Gload. Jays pitchers must weep. The fans do.

Top 2nd: Baker grounds to Hill throw to Overbay. Ross doubles to centre. Helms grounds to Scutaro throw to Overbay, Ross to third. Coghlan fly ball to Rios.
Bottom 2nd: Millar fly ball to left field Coghlan. Rios singles to centre. Overbay walks, Rios to second. Bautista fly ball to right field Hermida. Chavez fly ball to right field Hermida.

Top 3rd: Gload singles to right.Ramirez grounds to Bautista throw to Hill, Gload out at second. Cantu pops up to Hill. Two down. Hermida gets hold of this one into right field stands, two run home run. 3-0 Marlins. Uggla grounds to Bautista throw to Overbay, but the damage is done.

Top 4th: Baker walks. Ross first pitch, there it goes, home run to left, the second two run home run today. 5-0 Marlins. Helms pops up to Scutaro. Coghlan fly ball to Lind. Two down. Gload doubles to right. That’s it for Janssen. Camp pitching Ramirez full count and walks. Cito just loves that. Two on two down for Cantu fly ball to Wells. Camp escapes damage.
Bottom 4th: Lind grounds to first base Gload. Millar walks. Rios swinging at this first pitch and gets it out into left seats quickly. Two runs for Jays for a welcome change. 5-2 Marlins. Overbay grounds to first base Gload flip to pitcher West two down. Bautista fly ball to right field Hermida.

Top 5th: Hermida grounds to Bautista throw to Overbay. Uggla grounds to Scutaro throw to Overbay. Baker strikes out.
Bottom 5th: Chavez fly ball to Coghlan in left. Scutaro grounds to third base Helms throw to first base Gload for second out. Hill 3-0 and walks on four pitches.Wells with two down and one on. grounds second base Uggla, Hill out at second.

Bottom 6th: Lind lines out to left field Coghlan. Millar grounds to third base Helms throw to first base Gload. Rios singles to centre. Overbay gets hold of this one, home run to right, two runs score. 6-4 Marlins. Sanches now pitching. Bautista pops to short Ramirez. Jays are back in this one.

Top 7th: Ramirez fly ball to Wells. Cantu strikes out. Ryan now pitching. Hermida pops to Bautista.
Bottom 7th: Chavez strikes out. Scutaro full count and walks. Hill full count and walks, Scutaro to second. Wells grounds to Helms, error on the play, Vernon safe at first and Scutaro scores 6-5 Marlins and Jays need one more. Meyer now pitching. Lind fly ball to centre field Ross. Nunez pitching. Millar grounds to short Ramirez throw to first base Gload.

Top 8th: Uggla fly ball to Wells. Baker fly ball to Wells. Frasor now pitching. Ross struck out.
Bottom 8th: Rios infield single to second. Alex stealing and safe at second. Overbay strikes out. Alex going for third, caught stealing, Baker’s throw to third base Helms, Rios out. Alex you just threw away the tying run. It is too bad that Jays cannot send both Alex and Vernon back to Dunedin. They are trying aren’t they Cito? The problem with Rios is that he is not a good baseball brain on the bases. Bautista strikes out.

Top 9th: Helms singles to centre. Downs now pitching. Coghlan strikes out. Gload fly ball to Wells. Ramirez strikes out.
Bottom 9th: Carroll in as right fielder. Hermida in as left fielder. Lindstrom pitching. Barajas pinch-hitting for Chavez. Barajas singles to left. Scutaro does his job sacrifices back to pitcher Lindstrom throw to second base Uggla, Barajas moves to second. Hill with tying run at second only one out, pops up to second baseman Uggla. Wells, with tying run at second, opportunity here Vernon to be a hero, crowd groaning and booing, strikes out. Very fitting for Vernon to end like that, reflects his whole season.
