Two for one and Jays beat Braves 3-0.

Jays v Atlanta.

The rest of the squad (who were not at breakfast this morning) were on a bus to play Atlanta and did an excellent job blanking the Braves 3-0.
Romero another excellent start with four scoreless innings, four walks and two hits but scoreless. The rest of the relievers Eveland, Henn and Gonzalez held a strong side scoreless. Eveland in particular another strong outing for him with four scoreless innings.

Eleven hit attack by Jays with RBIs to Brad Emaus and Jeremy Reed. Travis Snider another double. Emaus had good day with two hits and a walk. He seems to be heating up to the form that impressed everyone last spring.
Mike McCoy getting a start at short had a two hit day.
Old friend Troy Glaus had a couple of at bats. Wonder if he will travel tomorrow to Dunedin.
Braves starting pitcher Hudson had a very rough day with four innings but giving up seven of the Jays eleven hits.
Is Eveland making strong play for long relief?

Rematch tomorrow with Braves in Dunedin.

Meantime this afternoon I visited Bright House to see the Twins play Phillies, a huge sellout crowd. 10,501. If I had not gone I guess it would been 10,500 !

Great pitching matchup and close game with Phillies winning 5-4. Pavano and Blackburn for the Braves matching Happ and Durbin for first five with only one run to show.
But don’t count out the Twins this year. I like that lineup.
Another home run from Phillies Cody Ransom. He had two in two games in one day against Jays this week one in the B squad in the morning and the other in Dunedin.

But Jays fans take the great pitching away today.
