Jays demolish Yankees

Jays v Yankees at Steinbrenner Field.

Jays win 9-1.

Jays do a double over the 2009 World Series teams with a convincing win at Steinbrenner Field today. Following their win yesterday over the Phillies. How about that Jays fans?

Great afternoon for the Jays, another load of hits. 18 that is EIGHTEEN. And how about this one 7 for 17 with runners in scoring position. WOWEEE.!!! Is this the Jays ?

Doubles from Snider, yea Travis, monkey off his back, now relax and enjoy. Another double from Bautista his third in two days to go with HR yesterday. HOT Jose!
Rbis today from Bautista, Hill, Lind, Reed, Molina (off his old team, that felt good) Arenciba

Vernon 3-3 today, spring average .625 now get off his back you fans. We all want him to do well this year it will be an added bonus behind Hill and Lind apart from taking some pressure off them.

Three rbis from the catching position today, Arenciba making a strong bid for the roster, but it should be Buck and Molina for Opening day.
Two more hrs, Lind a 3 run blast to blow this one open in the 5th, and Arenciba his second this week.

The good news continues in the pitching Marcum making first start since 2008 goes two scoreless innings and faces minimum 6 batters. YEAH! You know that Management is VERY happy with that.
Jays relievers Valdez, Register, Ray and Collazo give six YES 6 scoreless innings.

Not so good department: Cervelli hit in the helmet by Zinicola, not good and everyone hopes he will be fine. You don’t like to see that in Spring training but I am surprised it does not happen more often with pitchers tuning up for the season their control is nowhere near 100% in the first week.

Burnett starting gives up two earned runs, that felt good for Jays fans.
How would you like an average of 189.00? Yankee pitcher Albaladejo five hits one third of an inning and five runs. Ouch.

The bad, two errors by Jays today Hill and McCoy but I can take that with a blowout of the Yankees any day.
Tomorrow back to Dunedin for the Tigers and perhaps revenge for the only loss this week.

Note to you Phillies fans hoping for March break tickets, if you do not have them already you may be out of luck. Today I could only get SRO, plus bream seats for most of the games. Bright House Field looks sold out for the Spring already. That is what a World Series visit will do for you, plus of course # 34 Halladay.
His L- large shirts were sold out today already.
