Jays lose in the eighth to Tigers

Jays v Monday March 15th

With all the excitement about Hechavarria, there is a game to be played today. Road game in Lakeland against the Tigers so the second team are on the bus.
Rzepczynski pitching today, not a good outing to start, giving up six hits two of them home runs in the very first inning to Sizemore leading off and Cabrera, three earned runs in his four innings.

Followed by Janssen who continued his good start to the spring with another hitless inning and keeping that ERA at .000. Not so for Cecil, another poor outing and almost out of the running for a rotation spot now, his ERA balloons to 7.71. Brad Mills was also sent to minor league camp over the weekend and Cecil may be joining him. Cecil giving up six hits in his 2 1/3 inning including home run to Boesch in the seventh.

But Jays implode in the bottom of the eight to lose this one 10-7. Four in the eighth with three earned runs off Buzzachero replacing Cecil. Dlugach doing the damage with his three rbis. Hmmm! not the way to impress but to be fair Cecil had left him with one on.

Brian Dopirak a two run shot in the sixth continues his great hitting this spring although he struck out three times today. He has an outisde chance of making the team but I think they would prefer him to get more time in AAA.However if Lyle Overbay is traded, hen a whole new ballgame at first.
Travis had a single and a walk in his afternoon.
Ruiz playing at first today, getting lots of playing time, DH yesterday. Two hits and a walk.
Jays had ten hits but spread them around and only Ruiz had two.
Gallaraga for the Tigers was not much better with his three innings of work with five hits and three runs in the third when Jays tune into him.
