Oakland: Cabrera, Suzuki, Giambi, Holliday, Cust, Sweeney, Crosby, Kennedy, Powell and Gallagher pitching. Kennedy playing at second was just traded to Oakland from Tampa yesterday

The very good: Tallet seven strong two hit innings, and deserved the win. 97 pitches in seven innings with seven strikeouts.
The good: 15 hits attack. Everyone in lineup except Chavez. Scutaro 3-5. Lind and Overbay two hits apiece. Jays break out of their two game losing streak.
The bad: Runners in scoring position 4-16. Better than the 1/11 last night but still needs improvement.

Top 1st: Scutaro grounds to second base Kennedy to first baseman Giambi. Hill strikes out. Rios was hit by a pitch. Wells singles to right, Rios to third. Lind at bat, singles to right good start Travis, Rios scores, 1-0 Jays. Wells moves up to third. Bautista strikes out. This was like last night with runners in scoring position. 1/11.
Bottom 1st: Cabrera grounds to Hill flip to Overbay. Suzuki flied out to center fielder Wells. Giambi walked. Holliday strikes out.

Top 2nd: Overbay to leadoff, gets hold of this one and is into right field seats, Home run Lyle and Jays take a 2-0 lead. Chavez grounds back to pitcher Gallagher throw to first baseman Giambi, one down. Snider doubles to centre. Scutaro singles to right, Snider to third. Hill pops up to third base Crosby. Rios with two down pops up to second base Kennedy. Jays leaving players in scoring position on base again.
Bottom 2nd: Cust fly ball to Wells, one down. Sweeney grounds to Overbay flip to Tallet. Two down. Crosby 3-0 and walks on four pitches. Kennedy fouls out to Bautista.

Top 3rd: Wells singles to left. Wells stole second. Lind doubles to right 2-2 tonight. Wells scores, another rbi for Lind and Jays up 3-0. .Bautista grounds to short Cabrera to first base Giambi, Lind to third. Overbay lines out to third base Crosby. Chavez strikes out.
Bottom 3rd: Powell strikes out. Cabrera pops up to Hill. Suzuki grounds to Chavez throw to Overbay for third out and Tallet rolling along nicely.

Top 4th: Snider grounds to second base Kennedy to first baseman Giambi. Scutaro singles to center. Hill singles to left, Scutaro to second. Rios fly ball to centre field Sweeney. Wells grounds to shortstop Cabrera throw to second base Kennedy, Hill out.
Bottom 4th: Giambi strikes out. Holliday singles to right. Cust grounds into a double play, first baseman Overbay to shortstop Scutaro to first baseman Overbay, Holliday out.

Top 5th: Lind grounds to second Kennedy throw to first base Giambi. Bautista singles to left. Bautista stealing and safe on the throw. Ball gets away on Powell’s throw and Bautista goes to third. Error to Powell. Overbay sac fly to Hollidaty in left and Bautista scores. 4-0 Jays.

Bottom 5th: Sweeney grounds to Overbay flip to pitcher Tallet. Crosby strikes out. Kennedy strikes out. Good tidy inning for Tallet here.

Top 6th: Cameron pitching. Snider singles to center. On Cameron's error, Snider to third. Scutaro lines out to right Cust. Snider coming home and throw by Cust to catcher Powell,, gets him. Snider out. Hill grounds out to short Cabrera throw to first base Giambi.
Bottom 6th: Powell strikes out. Cabrera fly ball to left field Snider. Suzuki fly ball to Wells.

Top 7th: Rios lines out to second base Kennedy incredible catch there, jumping high to get and rob Alex of another hit. Wells at bat, fly ball to left Holliday. Two down. Lind fly ball to centre field Sweeney.
Bottom 7th: Giambi home run to right. 4-1 and that is the first Oakland run tonight. Holliday strikes out looking. Does not like it and here comes Bob Geren, he does not agree with that call and is out there. Now gets thrown out. I think he was trying to get this small crowd excited. Cust flies out to right field Rios.Sweeney flies out to center fielder Wells.

Top 8th: Blevins pitching. Bautista singles to center. Overbay doubles to centre, his second of the night. Bautista scores and Jays go ahead 5-1. Chavez fly ball to right field Cust. Snider strikes out. Scutaro singles and here comes Overbay 6-1 Jays. Scutaro singles and Overbay scores. 6-1 Jays. Scutaro to second. Hill grounds to short Cabrera to first baseman Giambi.
Bottom 8th: Carlson now pitching. Crosby singles to center. Kennedy grounds to Scutaro on to Hill, Crosby out. Powell with one one and one down, grounds to Scutaro on to Hill on to Overbay, double play ball.

Top 9th: Rios fly ball to Sweeney in centre. Wells singles to left, his third tonight. Lind strikes out. Bautista grounds out to first base Giambi.
Bottom 9th: Downs now pitching. He has a good rest this week. Cabrera singles to right. Suzuki fly ball to Rios. One down for Giambi, there she goes second home run tonight for Giambi. Two runs score. 6-3. Jays. Holliday fly ball to Rios in right field. Cust singles to right.Sweeney singles to left, Cust to second Crosby walked, Cust to third, Sweeney to second. Kennedy singles to right, here comes Cust to score, Sweeney moves to third, Crosby to second. 6-4 Jays. Downs has to be careful here with both runners in scoring position. A hit here will tie the game and could also win it if it goes out. Powell fouls out to Rios.

Jays get back in the winning circle although it was tense that last few minutes. I guess Downs deserves a day off, we expect him to be perfect.
