Cleveland has already beaten Boston tonight at Fenway 9-2. So Jays have a chance here to go further ahead.
The very good: Halladay goes eight innings. Perfect to get that rest for the bullpen. Hill, Wells, Overbay home runs.
The good: Everyone in the lineup with hits, Snider two and helps himself out of his own slump.
The bad: Nothing friends tonight.
Jays win 13-1.
Top 1st: Scutaro, full count, and walks, eight pitch at bat to lead off. Hill, Whoa Aaron, gets hold of this one, home run into the waterfall left centre, 2-0 Toronto. Rios singles into right centre, opposite field Alex, you can do it. Wells with one on and no outs, grounds to short on to second on to first double play ball. Cito you have to let Alex steal when he gets on. Nothing to lose. He must be tired of Vernon’s double plays. Lind, with two down doubles into the right field corner. Rolen 3-0 count and walks. Two on two down for Overbay, 24 pitch inning so far for Ortega. Lyle gets hold of this one into right but not hard enough and Mathews Jr has it. Good start for Jays.
Bottom 1st: Figgins, grounds to Hill, throw to Overbay one down. Izturis, full count, pops it up to Rolen at third, two down for Abreu. Grounds to Scutaro throw to Overbay. Good first inning for Halladay.
Top 2nd: Barajas full count, singles into left, another nine pitch at bat to leadoff, poor Ortega. Snider struggling right now. 3-1 count and walks, two on and no outs for Scutaro. Showing bunt, fouls off. Bunt is off singles up the middle, Barajas scores 3-0 Jays Snider at third and still no outs. Hill with two on Angels bullpen is working already. Singles up the middle Snider scores 4-0 Jays and Hill already has three of them. Rios with two on. 47 pitches for Ortega. Drives it to deep to centre for the first out. Scutaro tags to third. That’s it for Ortega tonight. Rafael Rodriguez now pitching to Wells, one down and two on the corners. Oh boy there it goes, Vernon lines this one over left field wall, a three run home run. 7-0 Jays. Lind bounces back to Rodriguez, throw to first to down for Rolen. Singles into right. Hit number eight. Overbay lines it off glove of Rodriguez but nice play by Aybar to get Rolen at second. Halladay enjoys a nice lead in this one.
Bottom 2nd: Hunter singles into right. Morales grounds to Overbay, throw to Scutaro back to Overbay, double play ball. Nice play. Napoli grounds to Scutaro throw to Overbay for third out.

Overbay, That’s better Lyle, singles into right but Lind held at third, Mathews has good arm, two on one down for Barajas, strikes out. Snider now can he bring one in ? YES Travis, that felt really good. Singles into right. Lind scores 8-0 Jays. Scutaro with two on. Everyone has at least one hit tonight but I think the team will be most pleased for Snider, everyone wants him to show the league what he has. Marco grounds to third for the out but Jays get another for Halladay to work with.
Bottom 5th: Napoli at bat, strikes out. Mathews at bat free swinging, thinks he is Guerrero, strikes out on three pitches. Kendrick grounds to Rolen throw to Overbay for third out.70 pitches.

Bottom 6th: Aybar fly ball to Rios in right, one down. Figgins lines out to Wells, two down. Izturis lines it off Halladay’s leg bounces to Rolen throw to Overbay for the third out. But that might be it for Roy if his leg is hurt. He seemed to be ok walking off. 77 pitches.
Top 7th: Rolen bounces high off the plate to third but Figgins good throw to first for the out. Overbay grounds to Kendrick, throw to Morales at first two down. Barajas full count, and walks for Snider. Golfs this one into right but caught by Mathews for third out.
Bottom 7th: Halladay coming out no problem. Abreu singles into centre. Hunter, full count. Walks but that pitch was very very close. Two on no outs. Morales pops it up to Rios in right. One down for Napoli. Strikes out on wicked pitch that dropped over that plate. Mathews Jr. strikes out looking. Great clutch pitching by the maestro with two on and no outs. But he is over the 100 pitch mark, may only get one more inning unless it is a six-eight pitch inning.
Top 8th: Scutaro for the fifth time. Willtis in left, Rivera in right and Quinlan at third now in. Ex-Jay Justin Speier pitching, Scutaro full count and walks. Hill 3-4 tonight, Lines out to Mathews now in centre. Rios walks, two on for Vernon. Wild pitch and both runners move up. Big chance Vernon. Strikes out. Lind has his chance, two down and two on. Two doubles tonight already. 3-1 count and walks Lind bases loaded for Rolen. Another full count. Rolen singles into left centre two more score, 10-0 Jays. Overbay with two on OH BOY Lyle, gets hold of first pitch, high into right centre three runs home run. 13-0 Jays. Barajas hit by Speier, umpire warns him Speier arguing. Manager Sciosca is now out arguing, he is thrown out. Snider singles into right, two more on for Scutaro, strikes out.
Bottom 8th: Halladay out again. Kendrick doubles to right centre. Aybar at bat, grounds to Scutaro, throw to Overbay one down. Singles to left and Kendrick scores 13-1 Jays. Quinlan doubles to right centre wall. Mathis holds at third. Willits grounds to Overbay flip to Halladay for third out and that’s it for Roy tonight 117 pitches.
Top 9th: Speier still out there. Hill 3-5 tonight and walks, Rios grounds to Kendrick, Hill slides into him and prevents double play, one down Rios safe at first, Vernon swinging away, fly ball to right. Two down for Lind, fly ball to left. Speier losing it with home plate umpire. He will not like his ERA tomorrow. Now arguing with his own coaches and players and pushed down the dug out tunnel out of sight.
Bottom 9th: Camp now pitching. Halladay did great job saving the beaten up bullpen. Morales grounds back to Camp off his glove and runner safe at first. Napoli grounds to Scutaro throw to Hill to get Morales. One down. Mathews grounds to Overbay, throw to Hill gets Napoli. Two down ball out of Hill’s glove prevents two.
