Jose home run enough tonight for the win by Hutchison

Jays v Twins. Game three of four. Last night Jose broke out of his some run slump with two, this team still needs his hits. Lind still disappointing and now has Vladdy looming on the horizon and there is no contest for the fans. Vladdy is the man. Alex rumoured to be talking to the Phillies about Cole Hammels, that would be very nice addition. Tonight young Hutchison pitching. Jays need these wins in Minnesota, next week will be a tough week against the eastern teams. Jays: Johnson, Escobar, Bautista, Encarnacion, Thames, Lawrie, Rasmus, Lind, Mathis and Hutchison pitching. Top 6th: Top of the order, Johnson leading off. 1-2 count, singles into right centre, one on for Escobar. Oh boy, grounds to second, throw to the bag and over to first, double play ball. Bautista, full count, drives it left and off the wall bounces back in and umpire says double, no way, home run, video replay says yes and Jose has another home run. 2-1 Jays. Full count after 0-2 count, fouling them off, this will do, grounds to short, Escobar, throw to Lind for third out. 10 pitch at bat by Dozier. Made Cordero work for that out. Top 8th: Lind leading off, grounds to short Dozier, throw to first, one down. Mathis strikes out swinging. Two down for Johnson. 1-2 count, strikes out swinging. It took eight pitches to get Johnson. Bottom 8th: Frasor now pitching. Tough top of the order for him. Mauer leading off. Lines it hard to centre, off the wall and leadoff double for Mauer. That was too close. Rajai Davis in left for Thames. 2-2 count, grounds to Escobar, throw to Lind for first out. Carroll, 1-2 count, takes strike three, two down but now the top of the order. Span, lines it to left, Davis makes nice catch and Jays have won this one 2-1. Tomorrow Romero goes for the win and after a not so good last outing you know he will be pumped up. Jays played well all round to win tonight. The very good: Lind with his RBI in the 5th to tie it up. Rasmus with two hit night. Jose another home run. and definitely Casey to nail down the save. But let’s not forget the great job done by Hutchison, this guy should probably not even be in the rotation but has done a great job each time and tonight gets his win. Sure he was shaky and also gave up four walks but a great job tonight to keep the Jays in it especially with such a low scoring game. Some highlight reel defensive plays involving Lawrie, Escobar and Thames.
