Jays win big

Jays v Braves. Jays win 7-5.

Tough assignment for Jays today against the Braves who have only lost one game so far this Spring and have 5-1 record. Jays are going the opposite direction at 1-5.

Jesse Litsch starting and pitched 3 scoreless innings, no hits, no walks and four strikeouts facing only 11. Jesse making a strong pitch ! for the starting rotation. Making it interesting for Manager Farrell.
Rzepczynski had a rougher time giving up three runs on five hits and a walk. Purcey also pitching 2 innings, four hits and two earned runs. This one was finished by Roenicke and Coreno two scoreless innings to finish off and preserve the win.

Hits today, with doubles for Encarnacion continuing his hot (compared to his teammates) bat and Tolisano.
Heccevarria came into the game for Encarnacion in the 7th, Correy Patterson playing had two more hits and Rajai Davis continues his hot bat.

Two hits for Escobar, one for Bautista but Arencibia DH today had another miserable day striking out three times plus a hit and a walk for his five at bats.He is really giving headaches to those who see him a regular catcher, when will he finally break out?

Jose Molina gets the start today catching and Jerolman replaces him in the 6th and scores and later gets a hit.
Jays were 4-16 with runners in scoring position and leaving a lot of guys 11 out there despite the win. Braves were not much better going 5/13 RISP.
BUT three more errors by the Jays after seemingly tightening up last game. Encarnacion at 1B today, with Lind getting a break, Bautista playing 3rd. Third error to Roenicke on his pickoff attempt that went wide.

Highlight play today has to be our old favourite Jason Lane with a throw to home to get Chipper Jones at home plate, not as fast as you used to be Chipper at 39.Jason had that great spring two years ago and deserved to go north but went to Vegas, good to see him out there today and contributing bigtime.

Losing 5-3 going into the 8th Jays score two in final two innings to come from behind and the Boss will be happy with this tough win. Sherrill and Moylan both giving up two runs each.

Tomorrow Travis Snider who looked awfully good yesterday in bp is scheduled to make a start. He was hammering them yesterday and looked to be seeing the ball very well. Jays need his bat badly.
And they have to cut down on these errors.
