The good: Stewart continues to hit, sorry Reed. Double also from Hill.
The bullpen continues to shine... Davis, Purcey, Carlson and Machi.... !!! one run in 6 innings. Davis 4 strikeouts...
The bad: Chacin continues to disappoint, the second bad outing. gives up four runs, five hits in two innings, game over.

The game:
Yankees get on Chacin immediately. First inning four runs. A-Rod HR at least it was not in Dunedin. Lane ?? (lf) adds 2 hits in 3 abs, scores twice and rbi with HR. Abreu does rest of damage with 2rbis in 2 hits, 3ab.
Wang meantime shows Chacin how with 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
Wells caught stealing. Other hits for Jays all singles. Reed, Wells, Overbay and Thigpen
One to forget...

News of Benitez siging to minor contract.. interesting if he still has it will be good insurance in bullpen. JP maintains Jays can never have enough arms.

But big news is BJ Ryan pitching tomorrow. Unfortunately it will not be at Knology Park but great news. He has pitched simulated games this spring with no ill effects so far... so if all goes well tomorrow maybe we will get to see him pitch at Knology Park later.

Interesting quote from Damon in St. Petersburg Times today. "I think the Jays may be the team to beat in our division" he said in Tampa. "I think their pitching top to bottom, is the best in both leagues, and they've made improvement. You can't predict anything. If the Rays get off to a good start, they can go with a lot of confidence. And it could be a totally different division".

Today big double header for blogmeister... Jays and Pirates afternoon at Knology Park and Reds and Phillies this evening at Bright Networks Field. Should be an interesting day...
