Will do today's game in a later blog but the big news today was the outright release of Reed.
NOT unexpected as mentioned here several times in last few weeks.
Reed has not played well and there is a traffic jam at LF. Shannon and Matt Stairs are definitely ready but Reed has seemed as if he were still suffering from his back.
Did he try to come back too early last season ? but was definitely not contending this spring. But thanks Reed for the five years of great memories and may you return to form and find a good new home.
Yesterday's games were both rained out. Jays did get one inning in at Yankee land and Phillies-Tigers game in Clearwater managed three. Pudge has put on some bulk this off season. Interesting. Loved Kenny Rogers innings. He still has it.... would have been an interesting game.
Today's game needs a separate blog today as Jays lose 15-7 ouch bigtime.... but weather at least was great after yesterday's rain.
