Toronto v Cleveland.
Jays win this one 5-4 but BJ Ryan gives up three runs in the bottom of the ninth to make it a much closer game than it should have been. Frasor finishes it off.
The good: The bats once again and Halladay winning battle with Lee for bragging rights. He would love that especially in Lee’s back garden. Lee is winless so far. Halladay goes to 2-0. Scutaro making a solid start to playing leadoff. Lind continuing his great play. Ditto Rolen, Millar, Hill and half a gold star for Alex today.
The bad: BJ BJ and BJ… what to do ???

Wild pitch now by Lee, Scutaro to third, Hill to second. Not a good start for Lee. Rios now golden chance to continue last night’s wakeup. Lines it off Cabrera glove, Bautista safe at first but McDonald held at third. That’s it for Chulk. Scutaro at bat. One down two on. Joe Smith pitching. This should do it. Fly ball deep to RF corner Choo makes the catch. McDonald scores 5-1 Jays. Two down for Hill. Walks for Rios. Two on two down. walks him to load bases for Wells. Grounds out to SS. Not good at all Vernon. Another hit would have been game over.

Top 9th: Lind at bat another multi- hit game, strikes out this time. Rolen grounds to third. Two down for Overbay first at bat today and walks. Barajas hitless today but nice sac bunt last at bat, gives this one a ride high and long to Sizemore at the wall. Almost but not quite.
Bottom 9th: Here comes Ryan. Four run lead BJ. Garko walks. Oh BJ. Shoppach full count, grounds to Scutaro to Hill on to Overbay double play ball. Two down for Francisco singles into centre. Cabrera at bat, Francisco takes second. Full count and walks. Sizemore at bat. another full count. Ball four to load the bases. DeRosa with tie run at plate. Lines it to LF wall three runs score. 5-4 game. That’s it for BJ. What a mess all with two outs. Frasor now pitching. Martinez at bat. DeRosa at second as the tying run. Strikes him out and rightly pumps his fist. Jays win another but BJ ???
What to do Cito? Bite the bullet and send BJ down to get rehab help? Persevere and hope he will turn it around? Problem today was location not velocity and that could be a mechanical problem or a mental. Decision time. If BJ goes down for two weeks who will appear ? Accardo ?
