Jays bats missing tonight but pitching was excellent in a tough loss.

Toronto v Minnesota.

Jays lose this one in extra innings 3-2, but pitching was more than enough to win. Once again Rios and Wells missing for most of this one although they did combine in the eighth to tie the game.

Bottom 11th: Carlson still pitching. Casilla hard grounder to third, nice defence by Rolen, One down. Morneau singles into right. Cuddyer, one down one on. Fly ball to Rios Two down, here comes Cito. But leaves him in to face Crede that does it, gets hold of this one over Vernon in Centre, throw not in time to get Morneau.

Jays lose this one 3-2. But you can’t fault the pitching tonight, Romero eight great innings, Downs, Carlson almost perfect relief. But not many games are won with only two runs. Bats were very silent tonight.
