Preview Jays-Red Sox series

Tough game tonight and in fact a tough weekend in store with the red-hot Red Sox storming into town fresh off a sweep of the Yankees in NY.
Jays meantime are crawling back into town from their own road trip and poor series in Kansas. Playing a team that had just been swept by the Twins at home the Jays could only win two of the four.
Now they are facing the hottest team in the division going in a totally different direction and with play-offs in sight. This could be an ugly series for Jays fans.
Further, Jays are sending JoJo Reyes to the mound tonight and although I am one of his biggest supporters and felt that his team let him down badly early in the season, it is asking a great deal from him to beat the current Red Sox line-up without major run support.
Add in the mini-slump by Jose, zilch production from Hill and Davis, injuries to Arencibia and Escobar and this does not look like a series fans will want to spend big money on. I anticipate all the seats around ours to be filled with visiting fans from Boston. Red Sox nation always make big trip to Toronto to add to the many Toronto fans who support Boston and the season ticket holders get out of town leaving their tickets to Red Sox fans. There should definitely be a law about that one.
It will depend on who has the most to cheer about tonight.
But as we see so often, baseball is a funny game and hope springs eternal that Jays will inflict an upset.
