Jays POWER supports gem from Romero to beat Orioles 4-1

Orioles v Jays Game two of three.
Lineups: Orioles: Hardy, Markakis, Jones, Guerrero, Wieters, Lee, Reynolds, Reimold, Andino, and Arrieta pitching.
Jays: Escobar, Patterson, Bautista, Lind, Rivera, Arencibia, Hill, Davis, Nix and Romero pitching.

Top first: Hardy leading off strikes out on three pitches, nice start Ricky. Markakis grounds to Escobar throw to Rivera at first two down for Jones, grounds to Hill throw to Rivera. Nice one, two three by Romero.

Bottom first. Escobar leading off, patience here for a change, 3-1 count, gets hold of this one and over left field fence, home run for Yunel. Jays take a (very) early lead. Patterson grounds to Hardy throw to Lee at first base. One down for Bautista fly ball to Markakis in right. Two down. Lind singles to centre. Rivera singles to right, Lind to second. Arencibia with two on, grounds to Andino at second goes to the bag himself to get Rivera but Jays have given Ricky a one run lead.

Top second: Guerrero leading off grounds to Nix at third, throw to first base Rivera.
Wieters fly ball to right field Bautista. Two down. Lee fly ball to Bautista. Quick three up and down. In fact six up and down for Ricky.
Bottom second: Hill leading off fly ball to Reimold in left, Aaron hit it well and to left, I still like it. Davis grounds to Andino at second, throw to Lee at first. Nix grounds to Hardy at short, throw to Lee at first base.

Top third: Reynolds leading off strikes out. Reimold, strikes out. Ricky on fire here. Crowd loves it. Andino grounds to Escobar at short, throw to Rivera at first base. Through the order in order. 9-9 Excellent.

Bottom third: Escobar leading off singles to centre. Patterson singles to right, Escobar to third. NO Corey, gets hung up here going to second, throw by Markakis cutoff by Hardy, throw to Lee, back to Andino, back to Lee in the rundown and Patterson out on the bases. Not a good move there Corey especially with Jose behind you, why would you be going to second anyway as it leaves the base open. Bautista strikes out. Off the hook Corey but Jose may have approached it differently with you on first. Two down, Lind, intentional walk. Interesting, are we going to see more of this for Adam? Rivera strikes out.

Top fourth: Hardy leading off doubles to left. Markakis, 3-0 and ball four walks on four pitches. Ricky in his first spot of trouble. Jones with two on, strikes out. Guerrero perfect, grounds to Escobar flip to Hill throw to Rivera, double play ball and just like that Ricky solves the problem. Very nice.
Bottom fourth: Arencibia leading off pops up to Lee at first. One down. Hill lines out to Reimold in left. Two down for Davis grounds to Lee at first, throw to pitcher Arrieta. Jays go quietly.

Top fifth: Wieters leading off strikes out. Lee grounds to Hill throw to Rivera at first base.
Reynolds ball four, second walk for Romero. Reimold strikes out. That will do.
Bottom fifth: Nix leading off strikes out. Jayson just unable to get that stroke back that he had before injury. Escobar singles to centre. Patterson strikes out. Bautista fly ball to Jones in centre.

Top sixth: Andino leading off strikes out. Hardy strikes out. Romero continues to mow them down here. Markakis singles to centre. Jones fly ball to Bautista. When they do get runners on it seems that Ricky can get out of trouble.
Bottom sixth: Lind strikes out. Rivera, OH YES Juan, hammers this one to left and it is out of here, home run Rivera and Jays go out 2-0. Arencibia grounds to Hardy throw to Lee at first. Hill doubles to left. I like it. Davis grounds to short throw Lee gets away and Aaron moves up to third on the error. Nix fly ball to Reimold in left leaving Hill at third.

Top seventh: Guerrero leading off, singles to centre. Wieters fly ball to Bautista in right, one down. Lee strikes out. Reynolds strikes out. Ricky still blowing them down here late in the game. Great to see.
Bottom seventh. Escobar grounds to Reynolds throw to first base Lee. One down for
Patterson, pops up to Reynolds at third. Two down for Bautista, ball four, not giving Jose anything here. Rapada now pitching. Lind, Showater rolling the dice here. Whoa, Adam, there she goes, no doubt about this Lind special. Home run to right centre, here comes Jose here comes Adam and this game is blown open. 4-0 Jays. Showater guessed wrong on that one. You would have thought by now the message was out do not pitch around Jose to get to Lind. That’s it for Rapada, sayonara. Berken now pitching. Rivera doubles down the line into right. The beat keeps going. Arencibia fly ball to Jones in centre for third out but Jays have added two more.

Top eighth. Reimold strikes out. Number eleven for Ricky. Andino fly ball to Davis in centre, two down for Hardy, strikes out. Ricky has twelve on the night and ties his record.
Bottom eighth. Ex-Jay Gregg now pitching. Trying to keep it at four to give offence one more shot. Hill fly ball to Reimold in left, one down for Davis, Rajai strikes out. Two down. Nix strikes out.

Top ninth: Romero still out there wants to finish this one off. Markakis, ball four, oh dear lead-off walk. Come on Ricky. Jones 3-0 Ricky has hit the wall here, ball four, walked on four pitches, Markakis to second. That’s it for Romero. Gets standing ovation as he walks off. Let’s hope he has not dug a hole here, everyone gets a little nervous with Jays closers.Especially this guy.Francisco pitching to Guerrero with two on, No room for error with Vladdy. This could be nasty. Pops up a mile high fortunately the wrong direction, Hill has it. One down for Wieters, no, singles to Bautista in right, Jose throws to second to keep Wieters at first as Markakis comes in to score, 4-1 game, one down.
Lee, perfect, grounds to Nix at third, throw to Hill, throw to Rivera double play ball to end this one.

The excellent: Ricky Romero showing why he is numero uno, we all wish he would do it more often though. (picky picky) Jays power not just from Lind but from Rivera and Escobar sharing the load around which is at it should be.
The bad: Not much tonight, maybe that base running error by Patterson.
Tomorrow rookie Stewart major league debut…..
