Sunday March 15, 2009. Jays v Reds in Dunedin.
This was sloppy, sloppy Jays at their defensive worst. Three errors by SS Sanchez, a missed catchable ball in LF by Adams, Joe Inglett fumbling a double play and then getting caught stealing which as it turned out would have lead to a run and the winning run in regulation time.
BUT Great pitching except for Brad Mills who did not have good game today.
Carlson was exceptional 10 pitches 9 strikes for his one inning of work, WOW.
But League also, Frasor and Accardo also had good inings alhtough Frasor was the victim of his team fielding or lack of..
Jays had plenty of opportunities but none betther than in fifth when Inglett gets on base is throw out stealing , and then Jays proceed to get next two on. Would have been bases loaded no outs for Millar who files out... Could have, should have been a run Joe....
But Jays second stringers deserve the cerdit to battle back from 4-1 deficit to win this in the bottom of the tenth on Curtis Thigpen walk off home run.
Jason Lane gets another home run... He had been so close for the last few games it was just a matter of time. Cito and the brainstrust have some decisions to make i that outfield.
The bad news today, Brett Cecil cut. Wow, that hurts... He had pitched so well but had that one bad outing yesterday although he managed to escape from damage.
Monday, the big bad Red Sox.... and Halladay pitching...
