Jays win six hour marathon and Phillies series and back to .500

Marcum 4-2, 2.22, who is 2-1 with a 1.19 ERA over his last four starts.
Kendrick 3-2, 4.87 ERA.

Phillies fans have been booing both Rolen and Barajas at every play so far. BUT then these fans even boo the poor ball girls and Howard who is in a slump right now.

What they said: Barajas about his stay in Philadelphia after career high 5RBIs last night. "In the clubhouse, I loved the guys and I had a good relationship with everybody. On the field, it was a different story. It's almost like you have 40,000 people rooting against you. That's not what you want. As a home player, you like to have your fans behind you."

Today’s result. Jays win this one 6-5.

The very good: Lyle Overbay today with his three run home run. Batting 3-7 runners in scoring position. Six runs with two outs. Jays back to .500. Great road trip after terrible sweep in Cleveland.
The good: Bullpen including Halladay and BJ’s twelfth save. Batting all round today coming back from 3-0 deficit. Doubles Hill, Stairs, Stewart and Barajas hot again. Seven pitchers used today. This was a great win over the six hours. Jays showed a lot of heart to come back and win this one over the two rain delays.

Top 1st: Kendrick pitching .Wilkerson grounds to 1B. Hill fly ball to RF. Rios grounds to SS. Three up and down.
Bottom 1st: Rollins lines single to RF. Rollins stealing. Werth strikes out. Utley at bat. Rollins at 2B. Utley strikes out. Howard at bat, hammers this one to CF. two run HR. 2-0 Phillies. Burrell at bat walks. Jenkins at bat strikes out. Marcum strikes out the side but one bad pitch there to Howard.

Top 2nd: Durbin now pitching to Rolen grounds out, Stairs grounds out. Stewart fly ball to RF. Three up and down.
Bottom 2nd: Shawn Camp pitching. Feliz at bat lines out to Stewart in LF. Ruiz grounds to Rolen.Two down. Durbin grounds to Scutaro.

Top 3rd: Barajas, fly ball to RF. Scutaro walks, Camp grounds out. Scutaro at 2B. Wilkerson at bat lines out to Feliz great catch.
Bottom 3rd: Rollins same as first at bat again to RF this time a double. Werth grounds out to Wilkerson. Rollins to 3B. Utley at bat grounds to Hill, holds Rollins at 3B throw to 1B gets Utley two down. Howard grounds out to 1B. Nice pitching by Camp after leadoff double.

Top 4th: Hill at bat strikes out. Rios grounds to Rollins turns and throws out Rios. Rolen full count, long liner to the wall, Werth just gets it at the scoreboard. Almost but not quite Scott.
Bottom 4th: Burrell, fly ball to Stewart. Jenkins single to RF. Feliz singles to RF. Two on one down. Ruiz singles to RF over Hill’s head. Jenkins scores 3-0. Ruiz up to 2B.Feliz at 3B. Durbin at bat grounds to Scutaro, Feliz holds at 3B. Rollins again 2-2 today. Put him on. Intentional walk. Werth lines out to Stairs leaves bases loaded. Nice pitching by Camp.

Top 5th: Stairs at bat. Fly ball to Werth in CF. Stewart grounds out to Feliz. Two down. Barajas doubles to CF. Scutaro full count walks him second time. Now Lyle… pinch hitting for Camp with two on, time for a dinger here Lyle. YES, YES he does it….I don’t believe it, he’s reading my blog friends. HR. High into second deck RF this game is all tied up. 3-3. Wilkerson grounds to SS.
Bottom 5th: Tallet now pitching. Utley pops up to Scutaro. Howard singles into CF. Burrell now at bat. Singles this into RF. Two on now, one down. Bear down Tallet. Jenkins at bat dribbles down third base but runners safe bases loaded. That’s it for Tallet. Frasor now in. Feliz at bat fly ball out to Hill in shallow RF. Howard holds at 3B. I think he had a chance there as Hill had his back to the plate and probably would not get a good throw. Ruiz at bat, grounds to Hill. Very nice Jason. That was huge to keep momentum after that three run HR by Overbay.

Top 6th: Seanez pitching, Hill hammers one to LF, that’s a double. Come on Alex your turn now. Not this at bat, pops up to SS. 0-3 today. Rolen now, also time for a big one to silence those boos. High fly ball to LF, just missed that one. Stairs now not letting him bat this time. Intentional walk to get to Stewart. Show them they are wrong Shannon just a base hit will do this time. YESYESYES….Doubles to right centre, scores both Hill and Stairs. 5-3 Jays. Shannon made them pay for that walk to Stairs. Barajas now single to LF. Stewart scores. 6-3 Jays. Scutaro strikes out but great clutch hitting with two outs scores all three this inning and all six runs today with two outs. That’s what we want to see.
Bottom 6th: Victorino now pinch hitting for Seanez. Grounds to Overbay. One down. Rollins at bat, walks him. Werth now at bat strikes him out nice pitching Jason. Two down. Gibbbons makes double switch here. Zaun now in for Barajas and Jesse Carlson relieves Frasor. Utley at bat drives double into RF corner. Rollins scores.6-4 Jays. Howard at bat walks. Burrell with two on two down.

RAIN DELAY AGAIN. At least this time Jays are winning. Halladay now pitching. 40 minutes rain delay.

Top 7th: Romero now pitching. Zaun, Wilkerson, Hill. Three up and down for Romero.
Bottom 7th: Halladay still in there. Jenkins, Feliz, Ruiz. Three up and down for Halladay.

Top 8th: Condrey pitching Rios grounds out. Rolen fly ball to RF. Two down. Stairs at bat doubles to Right centre Stewart walked intentionally. Now Halladay grounds to 3B almost beats out throw.
Bottom 8th: Dobbs at bat single to CF. Rollins now at bat on base all four times. Single double two walks. Grounds to Overbay to Scutaro back to Overbay great double play. Werth now strikes him out. Very nice Roy.

Top 9th: Brad Lidge pitching. Phillies closer. Scutaro two walks today. Strikes out. Overbay strikes out. Zaun grounds out to Howard. Here comes BJ.
Bottom 9th: Inglett Ryan pitching. Utley at bat,pops up to Scutaro. One down. Howard strikes him out. Burrell now at bat. HR to LF. 6-5 Jays. First run this year to Ryan in 13 2/3 innings. Coste doubles to LF. Taguchi pinch running. Bruntlett STRIKES OUT…. Jays WIN IT 6-5.
