The sadness that Travis will not be out there on Day 1 and that he could be gone to another team before the end of the season-Cito’s legacy. Happy that the team had a great spring. Happy that the Jays have another Johnny Mac in Omar V. Happy that this lineup is so much stronger than last April. Love the bullpen, the lineup and almost happy with the rotation. Not sorry that Cecil is in New Hampshire, he did nothing to earn a rotation spot. Memories of the four steal game by Gose, three in one inning including home, and against the Red Sox. What better memory than that from the spring in 2012?
Will they have a great April start? And will they be there in September? I say yes to both. This team is afraid of no one and has a confidence that we have not seen in a Jays team for many years. Many write-off Spring training but it was not too long ago that Tampa burned up the spring and went on to play in October, and this team reminds me of the Rays, but for the Jays the biggest plus is the confidence factor. Add in the youth and the unbeatable airs and that is a great mixture. Yankees and the Red Sox have their usual problems and issues, this division is wide open. I say 85-90 wins in 2012. We shall see, but with the definite buzz I think we will also see much larger crowds this summer. Go Ricky go.
